J. Glass cello 1926

Johann Glass was repairer and restorer for the famous Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and worked until his high age of 80 years. The broad model is after Stradivarius showing a strong, self-confident personal influence. The glossy varnish is an oil varnish of a luminous golden-orange reddish color, quite typical for this master, decorated by tasteful antiqueings.
