A very fine violoncello by German luthier Carl Wilhelm Freidrich Otto build in 1855 in Stockholm, concert instrument. Evaluation certificate stating the Makers name and market value by International Luthier Expert.

OTTO, CARL WILHELM FRIEDRICH LOUIS
Fifth son and pupil of Jacob August. Born at Jena, 1808. Worked at Hamburg, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, and finally Stockholm. Died there, 1884. Influenced by and concentrated on the art principles emanating from his father’s genius. Modelling and workmanship without a flaw. Managed to infuse a kind of Italian tone, not large, but rather penetrating, and clearly mellow.
